but much softer on the shoulder (wimp) Clean up not as friendly as the Ben. and while I did'nt have a problem with the Benelli, I started shooting more sporting clays and 100+ rds.

like Franchi) and was very reliable.įast forward 10 yrs. The Benelli adj.fit was better than the Remi and very seldom required any TLC (recoil oper. Started drinking the Beretta/Benelli coolaid in the late 90s and never looked back. I'm just over 6'2" and got by fine, just adjusted to the gun. The 1187's are not adjustable at the back of the receiver where it meets the stock, so if it don't fit, too bad, so sad. I've owned 3 1187's and while they are decent guns, they do take more frequent cleanings of the gas system and I could take mine down faster than a marine with his M-1. Re: Franchi Affinity vs Beretta A300 Outlander I wanted to like the Affinity because I really wanted it in a 20 gauge, but it just didn't feel right. Have shot everything we have fed them since, even the cheap Winchester universals and Federal promo loads.īut yes, fit is most important. We haven't had an issue with either one of ours.cleaned them and started off shooting heavy loads. And I have seen a few guys say that they had to send them in and the gas valve was replaced. You do have the best point in the thread that I totally neglected to mention, though get the one that fits best.īeretta does suggest a break in period using heavy loads for the first couple of boxes. Like I said, I haven't had any firsthand experience to draw from, but Berretta has been performing some warranty work for FTEs on the A300 Outlander.

I found that I had to adjust my mount with the Affinity, otherwise I was looking down on the rib. The Outlander fits me better and comes to the shoulder better for me than the Affinity. Shoulder both and see which one feels the best. I bought one for my son and liked it so well, I went back and bought one for myself. Not sure where you heard this, but it is completely wrong. I've heard that the Outlander gas system is tuned up for waterfowl loads and can be a little finicky with lighter dove/target loads.
